Valheim Wiki is an independent, unofficial Valheim guide. It is written and maintained by a small editorial team of long-time players, and it exists to answer one question reliably: what is true in the version you are actually playing?

What "version-verified" means

Every guide page carries a verification badge with two facts: the game version the page was checked against, and the date of that check. A page is only marked verified after an editor has re-run its claims in-game on that version — summoning costs, drop tables, damage types, build material counts and progression gates.

When a patch changes the numbers, the badge switches to a re-check state and the page is queued for review. We would rather show you a page that admits it is stale than one that quietly misinforms you.

How we work

• Primary verification first. Claims are tested in-game on the stated version before they are published. Community reports are used as leads, not as sources.
• Our own media. Screenshots, diagrams and clips are captured by this site's editors. Where official or community material is genuinely necessary, every asset is logged with its source type and origin, and the caption on the page states which it is.
• No invented numbers. If a value could not be confirmed, the page says so instead of estimating.
• Tools over ads. The building material calculator and the site search run entirely in your browser and are free to use.

Bylines and corrections

Each page is bylined with the editor responsible for its last verification. If you spot something wrong — a changed drop, a summoning cost, a broken interaction — tell us through the contact address in the site footer or in the comments below the page. Corrections are applied to the page and the verification date is updated; we do not silently rewrite history.
