Gear checklist

  • Fire arrows or a bronze mace — fire is the weak point.
  • Bronze-tier armor; do not attempt this in Meadows flint and leather.
  • Summon with 3× Ancient Seed, then fight in an open clearing away from pines.

The fight loop

  1. Keep moving — strafing beats standing still against the root slams.
  2. Kill the summoned Ancient Saplings the moment they appear.
  3. Land fire damage between dodges.
  4. Do not let saplings and the boss trap you against a tree.

Common mistakes

  • Using pierce or blunt as your main damage — both are heavily resisted.
  • Fighting among pines with no room to strafe.
