1.0 at a glance

Valheim left early access with the 1.0 release on 9 September 2026. This hub collects everything that changed and whether your old world is still worth continuing.

Three things define the release: Deep North, the final biome that closes the progression line begun in the Meadows; crossplay that unifies PC, Xbox, PS5 and Switch 2; and the game’s first full achievement system. Each gets its own section below, with the platform detail and the complete achievement list maintained on dedicated pages in this channel.

Deep North

The final biome, Deep North, ships with 1.0 and closes the progression line that began in the Meadows. Its Forsaken boss is Kall Fimbulbringer, the final boss of the game, reached through the Mörkhalla dungeon and the Jotun Advance events.

Crossplay and platforms

1.0 unifies PC, Xbox, PS5 and Switch 2 under crossplay. See the multiplayer channel for dedicated-server builds and hosting comparisons.

Achievements

A full achievement system arrives with the release. The complete list is maintained on a dedicated page in this channel.
