Gear checklist

  • Club (blunt = weak point) and a wood shield, or a crude bow for kiting.
  • Meadows food in all slots — grilled meat and berries — so one lightning AoE cannot kill you.
  • Fight at the Mystical Altar with 2× Deer Trophy, then move to an open clearing.

The fight loop

  1. Wait for the stag charge — sidestep it, do not backpedal.
  2. When the lightning ring telegraphs, step out of it or shield-block.
  3. Land club hits in the gaps between attacks.
  4. Keep health topped up; the fight is a stamina and spacing test, not a gear check.

Common mistakes

  • Backpedalling into a tree or rock and getting trapped in the AoE.
  • Bringing pierce or fire and wondering why it is slow — blunt is the answer.
